Battle Between Clemson and Georgia Brewing for 2022 TE Oscar Delp

Clemson has just two offers out to uncommitted 2022 tight ends, Oscar Delp and Jaleel Skinner.

Delp was on campus last week and while many have pegged him as a lock to Georgia, Clemson is absolutely in this thing.

After visiting Clemson, Delp made a stop in Athens for an official visit over the weekend. The nation’s second-best tight end prospect in the 2022 class told 247 Sports after the visit that Georgia was “going to be hard to top.”

While that is absolutely true, do not take that to mean that this thing is over by any stretch. Georgia begins the summer with a slight lead, but there is still plenty of time for Dabo Swinney to close that gap.

Delp is planning to be back on campus in July for the All In Cookout and there is a shot that his fifth and final official visit could be in Clemson in the fall, and a decision isn’t expected before September.

Between now and then there will plenty of Zoom calls, telephone calls, text messages and in home visits. Nobody is better at closing the deal than Swinney and he will get his shot with Delp.
