The Clemson basketball team seems to have gotten back on track in the past couple of weeks.
After a 9-1 start the team then had to pause team activities for eight days due safety protocols. The Tigers came off of that break and lost four of their next five. However, the team has now won two of their past three, including wins over North Carolina and Syracuse, and now seem to be firmly back on track to make an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has Clemson as a six seed in his latest tournament projections. The Tigers go into their Friday night game at home against Georgia Tech sitting at 12-5 overall and 6-5 in the ACC. That puts the Tigers seventh in the conference, but just one game back of both Georgia Tech and North Carolina in loss column.
At the moment Clemson is ranked No. 46 in the NET rankings, No. 9 in the RPI, and No. 11 in SOS. They are 3-5 against Quad 1 competition, 5-0 against Quad 2 teams, and a combined 4-0 against Quad 3 and 4 teams.
