Another sad day for Clemson fans and Tiger ladies in general came on Friday. This happened when Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney and his wife Kathleen had to give the announcement that the 2020 Ladies Clinic will have to be cancelled due to Covid-19. They made the announcement during a video while citing safety concerns.
Swinney thanked everyone for their patience and understanding with the Ladies Clinic this year, He then stated that they had determined the best course of action for all of their foundation’s events this year was to be canceled. He then made it clear that they would be back in 2021.
The Swinney’s foundation has been helping the community since 2009 and they’ve made it their mission to raise awareness of health and education issues all across the state of South Carolina. Events like the Ladies Clinic is what has allowed them to do that.
For those of us that have had family members suffer from some of the very things that the Swinney’s foundation works against, this information about what impact this could have is even more understood.
The Swinney’s announced an alternative plan.
“We still want to try and raise as much money as we possibly can this year in order to support the people in our focus groups that count on us every single year for funds. Therefore, we have decided to have one big virtual fundraiser on Wednesday July 22nd.”

“I have no doubt like everything we do here at Tigerland, it will be awesome. There will be guest speakers, we will have an auction, player appearances, and much more!! We are still finalizing and working through all the details. We wanted you, with the Ladies Clinic, to be some of the first to know! Mark your calendars and keep an eye on our website and social media pages in the coming weeks for more info. Once again, we are so thankful for all of you and your continued support for our foundation, stay well, and go Tigers.”
