The Tigers picked up a commitment from two sport star Bubba Chandler on Wednesday. Chandler is a 6’4, three star QB prospect out of North Oconee High in Bogart, Georgia. He is already pushing the 200 pound mark heading into his senior season of high school, and with his frame, will easily add more bulk.
Chandler has good awareness in the pocket, he’s accurate, with a strong arm, and is mobile enough to make plays with his legs so he can keep defenses honest. He has a nice touch on his deep balls, but at times puts a little to much air under them. That is something that is easily correctable once with a little work.
This is a solid pickup, especially for a kid that was on nobody’s radar a month ago. Clemson was his first P5 offer, and once they did, others started to follow suit. Louisville, Ole Miss, and Miami all offered in the last week or so.

He also plays baseball and was at one time committed to play for Georgia. As a right handed pitcher, his fastball is already topping 90 MPH. He has a good changeup and solid slider to go along with that fastball.
He is also a switch-hitting shortstop that has a solid bat, and by all accounts he is solid with the glove. He grades out at 9.5 at Perfect Game, and they don’t just hand out grades that high to a ton of high school prospects. Monte Lee and the Clemson baseball team picked up an elite level talent, and with the luxury of his scholarship counting towards football.
