Earlier today CBS Sports basketball insider Jon Rothstein reported on part of the non conference schedule for the 2020-21 Basketball season that will include Coach Brownell’s Clemson team.
According to his tweet there will be a multi game event between the ACC and SEC. The plan is for the games to be played in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on December 12th. Clemson is suppose to play Alabama in this event. Other games that have been confirmed for this event are Dayton vs Mississippi State and LSU vs South Florida.
Alabama finished 9th in the SEC regular season this past March with a 16-15 overall record and 8-10 mark in conference action. Clemson also finished 9th in ACC play with a 16-15 overall record and 9-11 ACC record. According Sports-reference.com the Tigers and Crimson Tide have met 9 times since 1949-50, with Clemson holding a 6-3 edge.
