Tigers ACC Tourney Opponent Set

Clemson found out Saturday afternoon who and when they would be playing in the ACC Tournament. The Tigers will need to win this Tournament to make the NCAA Tournament, and probably win a couple to make the NIT.

This is not impossible but will take an almost perfect run to get it done since Clemson has one seed FSU, fourth seed Duke, and fifth seed NC State on their side of the bracket.

The eighth seeded Tigers (15-15, 9-11 ACC) will take on the ninth seeded Miami Hurricanes (15-15, 7-13 ACC) at noon on Wednesday in the Greensboro Coliseum. The game will be televised on ESPN.

These two teams played in Clemson on December 31st. Miami took that game 73-68 in overtime. The Hurricanes snapped a three-game losing streak with a win over Syracuse at home on Saturday, 69-65 in OT. The Tigers lost their season finale to Georgia Tech on Friday 65-62.

The winner will face the ACC Tournament’s #1 seed, the Florida State Seminoles, on Thursday at 12:30pm and that game will be televised on either ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, or the ACC Network.
