Five star DE Jordan Burch named his top five schools this evening. There were no real surprises, and it’s the five schools most were expecting.
He is the number two overall prospect for 2020, and comes out of Hammond High School in Columbia, SC. The five schools were Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, and UofSC.
Currently, the 247 Crystal Ball has Clemson as the favorite. Bama and South Carolina are also getting some love with the forecasts. Burch visited LSU for the first time last weekend, and with the season they’re having so far, they could have gotten themselves into the mix.
Truth is, there’s been very little information to come out regarding Burch’s recruitment. He and his family play things very close to the vest. Trying to predict now where he ends up is nothing more than a guessing game.
Clemson already has 2020 commitments from what would be one of the best defensive lines ever assembled in one class.
- 5* DT Bryan Bresee is the number one player overall, regardless of position.
- 5* DE Myles Murphy is the #4 player overall, and #2 SDE in the country
- 5* DT Demonte Capehart is #28 overall, and the #2 DT in the country
- 4* DT is #73 overall and the #7 DT in the country.
Adding Burch to the fold would absolutely make it the best defensive line class ever signed.
There is still a long ways to go with this recruitment. No announcement date has been set and this is one that is likely going all the way to one of the two signing days.
