Brock Porter gave a verbal commitment to Monte Lee on Wednesday evening. The 6′ 3 165 lb rising junior is from Milford, Michigan and will be part of the 2022 class. The lanky RHP posted an 8-2 record with a 1.20 ERA during his sophomore season at Orchard Lake St Mary’s Prep. Porter pledged his commitment just two days after picking up an offer, choosing the Tigers over other offers from Duke, Miami, and Tennessee.
The young hurler grades out at 8.5 per Perfect Game, and is already throwing three pitches. He is not only throwing three pitches already, he is also commanding three pitches. He has a fastball that has some sink, and it is already topping out in the mid 80’s. He is already throwing his breaking ball for strikes consistently, and was named to the 2018 14u National Top Prospect List.
