Now that Bryan Bresee is officially in the NFL, there is one quarterback he is looking forward to having the opportunity to finally get his hands on.
“The quarterback I’d most want to sack is Trevor (Lawrence), just because I was never able to get him in practice,” Bresee said on the All Things Covered Podcast. “He always had that purple jersey on and couldn’t get touched. I’ll have to get him at least once.”
Bresee was drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night, going No. 29 overall to New Orleans.
Bresee is the former No. 1 recruit in the country who burst onto the scene as a Freshman All-American in 2020. He became the second ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year in Clemson history, joining Dexter Lawrence (2016). He was credited with 64 career tackles (15.0 for loss), 9.0 sacks, four pass breakups, an interception, a forced fumble and a safety in 915 snaps from scrimmage over 26 games (21 starts).
