With Dabo Swinney bringing in Garrett Riley to revamp the Clemson offense, many are expecting the Tigers to once again be explosive on that side of the ball.
If what Riley’s offense at TCU did last season is any indication, it’s probably a pretty good bet. The Horned Frogs moved from No. 65 to No. 9 in scoring offense thanks to Riley’s efforts, and Max Duggan would become a Heisman finalist under the offensive coordinator.
247Sports recently predicted college footballs most explosive offenses for next season, with the Tigers coming in at No. 16.
“Speaking of Riley leaving TCU for Clemson, this is what makes Dabo Swinney’s Tigers such an intriguing fit in our explosive offenses rankings for 2023. Is first-year starter Cade Klubnik the answer at quarterback? Could former five-star running back Will Shipley post another notable campaign on the ground? Who steps up alongside Antonio Williams at the wide receiver spots? These are all questions that need to be answered in exemplary fashion if Clemson intends on winning another conference title and ending a multi-year hiatus with a final four berth.“
