Bracketology: National Analyst Names Clemson Basketball Team of Week

With Clemson knocking off Duke at home on Saturday to improve to 15-3 on the season and 7-0 in ACC play, the Tigers are finally now starting to garner some national recognition.

National analyst Andy Katz named Clemson his “Team of the Week” after the Tigers beat Louisville and the Blue Devils at home last week.

Katz just released his first set of NCAA Tournament projections and currently has Clemson as the No. 8 seed in the South Region, facing off with No. 9 seed Indiana.

Joe Lunardi Currently projects Clemson as a No. 10 seed.

The Tigers have yet to crack the Top 25, but that is expected to change on Monday when the new polls come out. However, Brad Brownell’s program currently sits at No. 49 in the NET rankings, up five spots. The two early season losses to Loyola Chicago and South Carolina, both Quad 4 losses, are still hurting the Tigers. At this point, all they can do is keep on winning. The rest will take care of itself.

UPDATE: Clemson cracked the AP Top 25 this week, coming in at No. 19.
