Hunter Renfrow Explains Viral Grapes Photo

If you are a frequent user of Twitter, you have probably seen this photo of Hunter Renfrow holding a bag of grapes.

Every time he does something spectacular, it once again starts making the rounds, something similar to this.

Now Renfrow has explained the origin of the photo after being asked about it by Darien Rencher on The Players Club Podcast. It all started when his then girlfriend (now wife) asked him to make a grocery run, which included bringing home some grapes.

“She sent me on a grocery run,” Renfrow said. “I got like a few things and she said get some grapes and so I had no idea how to get grapes like I never gotten grapes before.”

“I’m looking through the grapes and all the bags were like open. I don’t know if you ever gotten grapes before but you don’t just like… like all the bags are open for whatever reason. You don’t just like pick them up and take them out. So I had no idea what to do. So I grabbed one of the little baggies from the side that you put the fresh produce in and I just started picking out grapes and putting them in and I took it home. And they charged me like like 20 bucks for that one bag. So obviously that was not how it was supposed to do it.”

“I played sports in high school. I didn’t go to the grocery store, I didn’t get groceries, I didn’t do laundry. Like my mom took care of me. I was naive, I didn’t know anything.”
