Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Oh what sorrow it is to watch championship games that Clemson didn’t get to play.
Santa we need some help, and here is our list.
Christmas Wish List for 2022
1) A healthy football team throughout the season.
Injuries riddled the team this year. Last count had 18 players out for the season. Can you have the elves brew up some magic dust or something to help keep our players healthy?
2) A solution to the transfer portal.
It’s more like a paid subscription that we don’t use and forgot to cancel. It just takes and doesn’t give. Can we please figure out how to use it to aid recruiting, when needed, without a negative affect on the Clemson culture?
3) Elite quarterback production.
Clemson’s had its share of great quarterbacks over the years. Production has been as good as any team in the country in years past, with the Tigers right at the front of the line. This year they’re are bringing up the caboose. Must find a way to get back to the front.
4) Brent Venables to stay.
Both coordinators are being considered for head coaching positions at other schools around the country, just as they should. But being that the defense is what kept that skin on the teeth this year, can we please put this drama to rest as soon as possible? Otherwise my anxiety may require much more eggnog than what is considered healthy.
5) A return to the championship games in 2022.
We realize the rest of the country are happy to see new teams in the playoff this year. But selfishly we are not. Please help this Clemson team get off to a fast start next season and accomplish all five of Dabo Swinney’s goals in 2022. Otherwise there will be no milk and cookies on the table for you next year.
