The coaching carousel continues to turn.
As Clemson fans anxiously await the Oklahoma coaching search to wrap up with Brent Venables still in Clemson, now there are reports linking Tony Elliott to the opening at Virginia.
247 Sports Carl Reed says Elliott could be the Cavaliers top target, with Duke also being interested.
Some of the chatter coming out of Clemson has Elliott having already met with officials at Duke, after having done the same with TCU officials before the Horned Frogs hired Sonny Dykes from SMU. He also met with Virginia Tech recently, but that job has since been filled. He flirted with the Tennessee job last offseason.
Elliott is in his eleventh season as a Clemson assistant and has always maintained that he would not leave for a head coaching job until he felt the time was right. The question becomes, is now that time.
