Former Clemson LB Retires From NFL

BJ Goodson is hanging up his cleats.

The former Clemson linebacker announced on Wednesday that he is retiring from the NFL.

Goodson had a very successful 2020 season with the Browns, registering 91 tackles, half a sack, two interceptions and one fumble recovery in 14 games. He was a free agent at the end of the season and eventually signed with the Jets. He played just seven special teams snaps last weekend.

The former Clemson Tiger, who is from Lamar, was originally drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft where he recorded 123 of his 251 career tackles over three seasons.
