Cornell Powell was among the final roster cuts for the Chiefs on Tuesday, as Kansas City trimmed its roster down to the 53-man limit.
After being drafted in the fifth round of the last NFL Draft, Powell found himself on a Kansas City team loaded with wide receiver talent, meaning it was always going to be difficult for the former Clemson Tiger to make the final roster.
If he clears waivers, Powell could remain with the Chiefs as a member of the practice squad but it’s more likely he’s signed by another team looking for help at the receiver position.
