The past few weeks have been some of the busiest the recruiting world has seen in quite some time.
Once the dead period was finally lifted after more than 15 months, high school prospects started flocking to college campuses across the country, with Clemson being no exception.
On top of the Dabo Swinney camps, the Tigers have hosted numerous potential targets over the past three weeks.
One of those is 4-star DE DJ Wesolak out of Missouri. The 6-foot-4, 240-pound edge rusher attended the Elite Retreat and by all accounts the Tigers were leading in his recruitment, with a decision coming sometime this summer.
However, that may not be the case after all. After taking an official visit to Florida over the weekend, it’s starting to sound like he may push that back until the fall so he can take more visits before making a final decision. He is scheduled to take an official to USC later this month and had also been to North Carolina and Georgia recently.
If that turns out to be the case, it will be interesting to see how this thing plays out. Clemson may choose not to wait that long and Wesolak may discover the Tigers won’t have an open spot that late in the cycle.
