There have been some talented quarterback prospects working out on the Clemson campus over the past week or so.
Arch Manning, Eli Holstein and Nico Iamaleava, three of the best that the 2023 class has offer, worked out last weekend and by all accounts were every bit as good as advertised.
This weekend, 2022 Cade Klubnik worked out in the Friday morning session and absolutely looked the part. Admittedly, I did not watch any of the other guys throw, but I did watch Klubnik and I am sold.
The release and the accuracy are things of beauty. And his confidence level is off the charts. However, not so much so that he comes off as overconfident or that he doesn’t respond well to coaching because he appeared to be soaking up each and every detail that was being told to him.
He does not have the strongest arm in the world, but the arm strength is there. He can make all of the throws and has the kind of accuracy that will allow him to throw into tight windows.
What really stands out, though, is the moxie he displays. He just looks the part when he’s on the field. The future of the quarterback position looks to be in good hands with Klubnik on board.
