The Tigers have their quarterback for 2022 locked up.
Cade Klubnik committed to Clemson back in March, which allows the coaching staff to fully turn their attention towards the 2023 quarterback class.
The Tigers are expecting three of those guys on campus June 2, as Arch Manning, Cameron Edge and Dylan Lonergan are all three scheduled to camp at Clemson on the same day.
The 5-star Manning is already considered the crown jewel of the 2023 class. The 6-foot-3, 200 pound prospect is considered the top quarterback in the class, as well as a Top-5 player overall and already has offers from Alabama, LSU and Georgia, among others. Clemson has not offered yet, but one should come in the very near future.
Edge is a 4-star quarterback from Maryland. The 6-foot-2, 190 pound prospect is considered a Top-5 quarterback in the 2023 class and a Top-150 player overall. Penn St, Ohio St, Virginia Tech and Clemson are the schools Edge is hearing from the most at the moment.
Lonergran is a 4-star quarterback from Georgia. He is also considered a Top-5 player at his position and ranks in the Top-50 overall. He already has more than 20 offers, with Alabama, Auburn and Arkansas among the schools to have already pulled the trigger.
A fourth quarterback will be on campus the following day as Judah Holtzclaw is also scheduled to camp with the Tigers. The 3-star prospect from Ohio isn’t as highly-touted as some of the other quarterbacks that will be on campus.
However, there have not been a ton of eyes on the big 6-foot-6, 230 pound player to date. This is a player that could see his stock increase dramatically over the summer months as things get opened back up. Holtzclaw has just three offers to date, with two of those coming from Ivy League schools. The third came from the Air Force Academy.
4-star Eli Holstein, 4-star Nicholaus Iamaleava, and 4-star Marcel Reed are all 2023 quarterbacks that are also set to visit Clemson early on in June. 5-star Malachi Nelson is also supposed to be on campus at some point this summer.
