Deshaun Watson Preparing for Upcoming Season Despite Uncertainty

Former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson is not letting lawsuits or his request to be traded keep him from staying in shape.

According to a tweet by Aaron Wilson Watson posted photos of his workouts to his Instagram account. It’s the first social media activity in quite some time for the disgruntled Texans quarterback.

Unsurprisingly, it looks as though Watson plans to be ready to play. Whether he is allowed to or not is still up in the air, just like the lawsuits. The NFL has been looking into the accusations but no decisions have been made and there doesn’t seem to be any timeline for when one might come.

Since the allegations and lawsuits started surfacing in March there have been questions about whether or not Watson will be allowed to play this coming season. These posts show that Watson, right now, is working out and will at least be in shape if he is allowed to play.

Another question out there that many are still asking is will he be a Texan or playing for another team by the time the 2021 season begins. As many recall, this offseason was already full of drama with Watson and Houston. So much so that he had requested a trade even though the Texans had signed him to a huge contract extension last year.

In Watson’s first four years in the NFL he has had 1,186 completions on 1,748 attempts for 14,539 yards, 104 touchdowns, and 36 interceptions. He has helped lead the Texans to the playoffs in three of his four years there and has also been selected to the Pro Bowl in three of his first four NFL seasons.
