The Clemson Tigers have made the final cut for one of the nation’s top prospects in the 2022 recruiting cycle.
Daylen Everette, the five-star cornerback from IMG Academy, dropped his Top-5 of Clemson, Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon, Georgia and Florida State.
Everette is ranked No. 38 overall in the 247 Composite and No. 7 among all cornerbacks. He’s also ranked No. 7 in the state of Florida.
The 6-foot-1, 185 pound Everette is scheduled to take official visits to both Georgia and North Carolina in June. He is also on record saying he plans to take an unofficial to Clemson in June (Dabo Swinney doesn’t typically host official visits in the summer), and possibly Florida State as well.
Currently, this has the feel of a battle between Clemson and Georgia, but Everette has played things fairly close to the vest so far and with the dead period set to expire at the end of May, this one is a long ways from being over. The only team in his top-five that feels like they might not realistically be in it is Oregon, but even that could change in an instant.
