Former Clemson running back Wayne Gallman is heading out west.
After spending his first four seasons with the New York Giants, Gallman has signed a one year deal with the San Francisco 49ers.
A fourth-round pick by the Giants in the 2017 draft, Gallman appeared in 53 games, 14 of those starts, and racked up 1,444 yards on 338 carries, scoring nine touchdowns. He also had 80 receptions for 498 yards and two touchdowns.
Last season was Gallman’s most productive as he filled in admirably for an injured Saquon Barkley. He led the team in rushing attempts (147), rushing yards (682) and rushing touchdowns (six), all career highs for a single season.
