Brad Brownell picked up a commitment on Monday night.
Forward Ben Middlebrooks announced the pledge via an Instagram post.
“Excited to announce that I have committed to Clemson University in 2021!” Middlebrooks posted. “I wouldn’t be here without everyone who has helped me along in my journey. This includes God, my family, and the coaches and teachers who supported me throughout this journey.”
The 6-foot-10 prospect averaged 20.5 points and 13.6 rebounds per game last season for Westminster Academy in Ft Lauderdale, a season that earned Middlebrooks 5A-1A first team honors in Broward County.
He is reclassifying as part of the 2021 class and he chose the Tigers over other offers including Auburn, Ole Miss and Dayton. Originally set to be a part of the 2022 recruiting class, 247 ranks him No. 174 overall and No. 28 among all power forwards.
His commitment gives the Tigers three members of its 2021 class, as he joins PF Ian Schefflin and SG Joshua Beadle.
