Clemson Gets Huge Win Against Miami, Helps Tournament Chances

Clemson looks to be heading to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since their run to the Sweet-16 a few years back.

The Tigers got a 66-58 win over Miami on Saturday, helping the Tigers stay in the running for a top four spot in the ACC Tournament. That spot would guarantee the Tigers something they have not had many times, a double-bye in the tournament.

It was also Brad Brownell’s 200th win at Clemson.

Coming into today, most every pundit already had the Tigers firmly in the NCAA tournament. CBS Bracketology has Clemson as a four seed, but they can still help their case as long as they continue the momentum they have and win.

It would seem obvious enough that this team has done enough to warrant an invite this year. For the first time in 25 years Clemson has won five straight ACC games in a season.

The Tigers improve to 15-5 overall on the season and 9-5 in the ACC while Miami dropped to 7-15 overall and 3-14 in the ACC. Brownell and the Tigers now lead the series 17-13 all-time against the Hurricanes.
