Clemson Tweaks Starting Rotation for South Carolina Series

After starting two freshmen on the opening weekend of the college baseball season, Clemson head coach Monte Lee is going with a more veteran presence for the South Carolina series.

Davis Sharpe will still be the Friday starter, Mat Clark will go on Saturday in Greeneville, and freshman Ty Olenchuk will get the nod for the finale on Sunday in Columbia.

Clark replaces freshman Caden Grice in the rotation. Grice had issues finding the strike zone in his first career start last Sunday at home against Cincinnati.

• Friday – RHP Thomas Farr (USC) vs. RHP Davis Sharpe (CU)
• Saturday – LHP Mat Clark (CU) vs. RHP Brannon Jordan (USC)
• Sunday – RHP Ty Olenchuk (CU) vs. LHP Julian Bosnic (USC)

Clemson leads the overall series 181-141-2.
