Clemson Basketball Loses Second Straight in Embarrassing Fashion

After getting walloped at home 85-50 by Virginia over the weekend, Clemson headed to Georgia Tech on Wednesday night hoping to right the ship. That would not be the case though as the Yellow Jackets dominated the Tigers in a 83-65 win.

It was a sloppy performance that saw the Tigers turn the ball over 20 times and allow Georgia Tech to shoot 16-26 from three.

Clemson went into the half trailing 44-35 but Tech came out of the break hot and quickly extended the lead to 53-35 after a 9-0 run. The Tigers were able to pull with 13 at one point but never could get any closer.

Aamir Simms led Clemson in scoring with 19 points. Clyde Trapp added 14 and John Newman III added 13.

The Tigers now fall to 9-3 on the season and will get set to head to Tallahassee to take on one of the hottest teams in the ACC in Florida State. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 pm on Saturday afternoon.
