(WATCH): Newest Clemson Commitment Defensive Tackle Payton Page In Action

Clemson added another recruit to their 2021 class on Tuesday. Payton Page, a 6-foot-4, 360 pound defensive tackle out of Dudley High School in Greensboro, NC chose the Tigers over North Carolina and Tennessee. Page’s commitment adds to whats is an already Top-10 recruiting class for 2021.

Page is listed as a four star prospect in the 247 Composite. He is ranked No. 80 overall, the seventh best defensive tackle, and the fourth best player out of North Carolina.

He is an imposing figure. After adding some weight and muscle over the course of his junior season, he is now up over 350 pounds, making him one of the larger defensive linemen in the 2021 recruiting class.

He is strong, and a naturally nimble athlete that is able to make impressive plays behind the line of scrimmage. He’s also shown the ability to dominate offensive linemen at the point of attack and use his short area quickness to close in on the quarterback or ball carrier.

Page’s pledge gives Clemson its first defensive tackle prospect in the 2021 class and now gives the Tigers 14 commitments overall for this cycle.
