Clemson Picks Up Quarterback Commitment For 2021

Clemson picked up a commitment from 2021 quarterback Bubba Chandler on Wednesday afternoon. Not only to play football, but to play baseball as well. He was at one time committed to play baseball for Georgia.

Chandler, who is 6’4 and already pushing 200 pounds, is out of North Oconee High in Bogart, Georgia, had not been rated by recruiting services until this week, but is now listed as a three star by the 247 Compsoite and as the 25th best pro style QB in the nation.

Clemson was his first P5 offer, but since then others have followed suit, including Miami, Ole Miss, and Louisville. Don’t let the fact that he isn’t rated fool you, this kid can play.

Chandler looks the part and could be a good fit in this Clemson offense with a little more polishing. His film shows he has good pocket awareness, a strong arm, and throws with accuracy. His deep balls in particular have a nice touch on them and he can make plays with his legs when needed as well.

Chandler is the twelfth commitment of the 2021 class, giving the Tigers the QB they needed this cycle. He’s also the second commitment for the Tigers in as many days, after LB Barrett Carter’s announcement on Tuesday, and the third this month.
