Many Tiger fans will forever remember this guy as “The Wayne Train.” Wayne Gallman was part of the Clemson team that defeated Alabama in the 2016 national championship by a score of 35–31. Gallman had 18 carries for 46 yards, 3 catches for another 39 yards and one touchdown to help the Tigers secure their second national title in program history.
After the 2016 season Gallman made the decision to enter the 2017 NFL Draft and forgoing his final season of eligibility. He is currently a member of the New York Giants, who drafted Gallman in the fourth round with the 140th overall pick, and was the 14th running back taken that year.
Gallman stays in contact with the Clemson staff and the Clemson Football social media account recently released a video chat that Gallman had with the Tigers offensive coordinator Tony Elliott. It was fun to watch, as they talked about staying on the right course.
