Clemson Baseball Looking Good After Strong Opening Month

There were many unknowns surrounding the Clemson baseball coming into the season. A month into the season and some of those questions have been answered.

The Tigers pitching has been stellar. It is looking like a staff deep with quality arms, with many of those being power arms. The bats have been slow to come around, but got going in the opening series of ACC play against Boston College.

The teams 12-3 start, including a perfect 3-0 start to conference play, has the team starting to get some recognition. They have made appearances in a couple of the polls over the last two weeks, including cracking the D1 Baseball poll. But more importantly the strong start has them in the top fifteen in RPI.

Head coach Monte wanted his team tested early, and that they were, as evidenced by their strength of schedule. That kind of tough, early season non-conference slate can only help as the team gets into ACC play, where the competition only gets tougher.
