Clemson Rocks BC For Series Win

Davis Sharpe was not sharp on Saturday but the Tiger bats were. Sharpe gave up four runs on six hits in his 4.0 innings on the mound.

Meanwhile, the Tigers totaled season highs at the plate with 14 hits and 12 runs in their 12-5 victory over Boston College at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Clemson took a 2-0 lead in the series, improved to 11-3 overall, and are now 2-0 in the ACC. The Eagles dropped to 5-8 overall and 0-2 in Conference play.

Elijah Henderson, Chad Fairey, and Bo Majkowski had three hits a piece to lead the Tigers 14 hit day. Elijah Henderson and Chad Fairey each had career highs in hits. Elijah Henderson also totaled a career high four RBI.

Clemson also scored each of their last eight runs with two outs. Now the Tigers have to find a way to keep the bats going, taking some pressure off the pitching staff.

The series finale is scheduled to begin at 1pm and will be televised on ACC Network Extra.
