South Carolina Shaking Up Coaching Staff

One day after dropping their sixth straight to Clemson by a final score of 38-3, reports are coming out that head coach Will Muschamp is in the process of making sweeping changes across the coaching staff. The Gamecocks finished up 4-8, concluding a disappointing season that had many hopeful after an upset over Georgia in Athens.

It seems that offensive coordinator Bryan Mclendon has been relieved of play calling duties. Reports have him being told he could remain on staff as the WR coach, but he’s not expected to return.

There is also word coming out that QB coach Dan Werner and Strength and Conditioning coach Jeff Dillman will not be returning.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. It seems we have seen this same song and dance once before just a couple of seasons ago when Will Muschamp fired Kurt Roper in an effort to overhaul the offense. However, they seemed to have the same issues offensively this season, that they had then.
