Clemson Basketball: Tigers Face Presbyterian Tonight

Presbyterian at Clemson

Littlejohn Coliseum, Clemson SC

7 PM ACCN

Brad Brownell’s Tigers are right back at it tonight, just two days removed from a disappointing season opening loss at home to Virginia Tech. Tonight should be a little easier with Presbyterian College coming to town.

The Tigers must shoot better than they did in the opener, it’s as simple as that. After getting off to a decent start, the entire team went ice cold in the second half against the Hokies.

This team also needs to shoot better from the free throw line. Hunter Tyson missed all three of his attempts and freshman Chase Hunter was just 1-5, causing the team to shoot just 9-15 from the line. These are supposed to be two of the better shooters on the team.

This is a young team, and fairly inexperienced team. Even guys like Aamir Simms have to adjust to being one of the go to guys instead of just being a role player. For this team to struggle at times is to be expected. Having said that, this team also needs to win the games they’re supposed to win. Virginia Tech was one of those games, and tonight is as well.
