After debuting at No. 16 in last week’s D1 Baseball rankings, the Clemson Tigers shot up nine spots this week to No. 7.
Clemson has won eight straight and just wrapped up a three game sweep of Virginia Tech on the road. This coming after the Tigers went into Conway and knocked off Coastal Carolina 16-7 last Wednesday.
With the impressive turnaround, Erik Bakich’s team is now all but looking like a lock to host a regional in his first season as head coach. A national seed might even be on the table.
