Clemson has handed out just one running back offer in the 2024 class.
David Eziomume (N Cobb, Kennesaw, Ga), who picked up an offer back in October, has long been the Tigers top target in this recruiting cycle. He visited for a game last season and was back for Elite Junior Day in January.
Now, Eziomume is reportedly set to announce a decision on his birthday, March 1.
The fact that Clemson has not offered any other players at the position has obviously made an impression.
It’s battle that has come down to Clemson and Georgia Tech, according to the recruiting gurus, with proximity to home playing a large part. Eziomume lives just under an hour from Atlanta and a little over two hours from Clemson.
Rivals ranks the 6-foot1-, 200-pound back as the seventh best all purpose back in the class and No. 175 overall.
Clemson and Notre Dame have released depth charts ahead of this weekend’s matchup at Death Valley.
For the second time this season, Clemson will be an underdog at home.
Despite Clemson’s astonishing loss to Miami, the Tigers will head to Raleigh next week favored over NC State.
