College Football’s Next Superstars

Clemson fans are not the only ones expecting big things from Cade Klubnik in 2023.

In a story about college football’s next superstars, 247 Sports recently tabbed the rising sophomore as part of the next wave of young quarterbacks.

The No. 1 QB in the 2022 class per the 247Sports Composite, Klubnik is next up at Clemson. That’s a good place to be. Clemson has bounced from Deshaun Watson to Kelly Bryant to Trevor Lawrence to DJ Uiagalelei and now Klubnik. See the pattern? Almost every other starter is a first-round pick. Could Klubnik be next? It doesn’t hurt Klubnik that new offensive coordinator Garrett Riley is there to help take him there.

While he no doubt looked like a true freshman at times in limited action last season, Klubnik also flashed traits that made him the top-rated quarterback in the country in the 2022 recruiting class.

Klubnik completed 61-of-100 his pass attempts, for 697 yards, with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He also added another 139 yards on the ground, with two more touchdowns.

With Garrett Riley now bringing his high-powered offense to Clemson, Klubnik is no doubt one of the players that should benefit the most.
