There is no denying that Dabo Swinney has turned Clemson Football into a national brand. Some call it the Power of the Paw and college football recruits have taken notice.
Official Visit recently surveyed 1,000 high school football prospects on brand strength, asking them to rank college football programs. The results include a rolling four-year average in the data findings, and the program that Swinney has built came in a No. 5.
As you can see in the tweet, the Top-5 looks like this.
- Alabama
- Ohio State
- Georgia
- Oklahoma
- Clemson
247 Sports’ Brad Crawford had this to say about Clemson’s Top-5 ranking.
“Bravo, Dabo Swinney. Clemson’s “Tiger Paw” logo has always been recognizable among recruits in the South, but it means a great deal more than it used to since Swinney’s reign atop the ACC began with his first 10-win season since 2011. Only Nick Saban has won more games than Swinney since and the Tigers have banked off that success with two national championships, seven conference titles and a considerable increase in brand strength from a national perspective. Swinney dominates in recruiting and Clemson’s facilities are second-to-none in a hotbed geographical area for football.“
