Clemson QB Hunter Helms to Serve as Counselor at Prestigious Passing Academy

Hunter Helms will serve as one of the counselors at the Manning Passing Academy next month.

The Clemson quarterback is set to join some of the best quarterbacks in the country for the quarterback camp that is set to be held June 23-26 in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

CJ Stroud (Ohio State), Bryce Young (Alabama), Phil Jurkovec (BC), Sam Hartman (Wake Forest), Stetson Bennett (UGA) and Ty Thompson (Oregon) are some of the other names expected to be on hand.

Former Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence has served as a counselor in the past, as has DJ Uiagalelei.

The camp is for football players between the ages of entering the eighth grade to entering their senior year of high school and is put on by Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Archie Manning and Cooper Manning.

After a stellar senior season at Grey Collegiate Academy, Helms turned down multiple D1 offers to walk on at Clemson as a member of the 2020 class.

Over his first two seasons as a Tiger, Helms is 13-25 passing for 135 yards, and two touchdowns in a reserve role. Garnering this invite as a backup, speaks volumes about the way Helms is viewed by many of his peers.
