Multiple Clemson Tigers Hoping to Hear Name Called On Final Day of NFL Draft

Andrew Booth Jr. heard his name called in the second round of the NFL Draft on Friday night when the Vikings selected the cornerback with the 42nd overall pick.

“Of course, we wanted to get him because he brings a lot to the table,” said team’s Senior Personnel Director Ryan Grigson. “His competitiveness. His size. He plays at a high level, and he played for a really good program.”

With the draft set to conclude on Saturday with rounds 3-7, several former Clemson Tigers are still waiting to hear their names called.

CB Mario Goodrich and WR Justyn Ross are almost assuredly going to be taken at some point. S Nolan Turner’s impressive Pro Day showing just might have ensured he gets a call, and LBs James Skalski and Baylon Spector are two more players that might possibly be taken.

The draft concludes today with rounds 3-7. Coverage set to begin at noon.
