Clemson Football: Latest From Recruiting Trail

While spring practice may have come to an end, recruiting never stops.

Clemson picked up two bigtime commitments last week, with 4-star QB Chris Vizzina and 4-star TE Reid Miskeska both announcing verbal pledges. Their additions give the Tigers three commitments in the 2023 class, as they join 2023 4-star WR Nathaniel Joseph.

The class is currently ranked No. 28 overall and No. 4 in the ACC. Louisville, Florida State and Miami are all ranked ahead of the Tigers. At least for the moment, as there could be more commitments on the way.

Priority DE target David Ojiegbe has announced a commitment date of April 27.

Clemson appears to be the favorite to land the 4-star edge rusher, as four different analysts at 247 Sports have crystal balled Ojiegbe to the Tigers, including Steve Wiltfong, who is 82-84 on his 2023 predictions.

2023 4-star DT Jamaal Jarrett is set to announce his four finalists this week. Jarrett, from Grimsley, NC, picked up an offer from Clemson last week while on a visit. In a recent interview with Clemson SI, Jarrett made it clear he was nowhere close to making a decision.

2023 TE target Jelani Thurman released his Top-8. Ohio State, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Michigan State, Alabama, Ole Miss, Miami, and Clemson all made the cut. The Tigers already have one TE on board in this class, but appear to be looking at signing two this cycle.

2023 4-star LB target Tony Rojas will drop his Top-4 this weekend. Rojas was on the Clemson campus on two separate occasions this spring.

2023 4-star OL targets Sullivan Absher and Monroe Freeling are set to visit South Bend this weekend for the Notre Dame spring game.
