Deshaun Watson was not indicted on Friday.
While the former Clemson quarterback still has the 22 civil suits pending against him and could still face discipline from the NFL, he will not face any criminal charges.
After requesting a trade from the Texans following the 2020 season, Watson did not play a snap last season, as the civil suits and questions surrounding his legal issues held up any trade.
The last time he did play, though, he was one of the best quarterbacks in the league, leading the NFL with 4,823 passing yards and an average of 8.9 yards per pass.
