After spending the past four years at Northwestern Hunter Johnson is returning to Clemson.
Johnson was part of Clemson’s 2017 recruiting class, but would transfer out of the program following Trevor Lawrence’s arrival in the spring of 2018. He was a 5-star prospect, the No. 2 pro-style QB in the country and the No. 30 player overall, according to the 247 Composite.
While Johnson’s collegiate career has never quite lived up to his hefty recruiting ranking, he still adds a unique dynamic to Clemson’s quarterback room. He is a quarterback that is experienced in dealing with the adversity that comes along with lofty expectations, something that could prove to be very beneficial.
