Clemson starting quarterback DJ Uiagalelei may not be 100% healthy as the Tigers get set to take on Iowa State on Wednesday in the Cheez-It Bowl.
However, the sophomore signal-caller maitains that while he may not be fully healthy, he is good to go.
“I feel like right now I’m healthy,” Uiagalelei told the media on Sunday. “But, yeah, of course I won’t be like completely healthy, but I’ll be perfectly fine to go out and play a game to my full abilities.”
Uiagalelei has dealt with an injury to the tendons in the index finger of his throwing hand, as well as a sprained PCL in his left knee, and while he has been able to soldier on and play through those, it well be well into the offseason before he is 100% again.
“Eventually in the off-season I’ll get more healthier and get 100 percent,” Uiagalelei said. “But right now I feel perfectly fine.”
