Clemson at Louisville: ESPN GameDay Picks for the Game

Clemson and Louisville are set to square off tonight at 730 pm inside Cardinals Stadium on the ACC Network.

The Tigers come in at 5-3 overall, 4-2 in ACC play and looking to keep a little momentum going from their 30-20 win over Florida State last weekend. The Cardinals come in a 4-4 overall, 2-3 in league play, and have dropped three of their past four games.

The ESPN Game Day crew weighed in on tonight’s matchup this morning. They all picked Clemson, except for guest picker Nick Lachey, the recording artist formerly of 98 Degrees.

Desmond Howard: Clemson

“I like Clemson’s defense, third in scoring defense. I think that defense travels. I got Clemson over Louisville in a close game.”

Nick Lachey (Guest Picker): Louisville

“Man, this is a tough one for me. Clemson is having a down year. I think this game means more to Louisville than it does to Clemson. I’m actually going to take the Cardinals.”

Lee Corso: Clemson

“Not so fast my friend (in response to Lachey). Louisville scores, but not enough.”

Kirk Herbstreit: Clemson

“I think it’s Clemson’s defense. That’s the difference in this football game. They are doing enough to win football games on offense, but I’ll say that the Clemson defense will get a couple of turnovers, short field and wins the game.”
