The Louisville defense sustained a major blow over the weekend.
All-ACC cornerback Kei’Trel Clark was injured during the fourth quarter of the Cardinals loss to North Carolina on Saturday and on Monday head coach Scott Satterfield announced the defensive back will be out the rest of the season.
“Tre was really playing well in the game,” Satterfield said. “He ended up getting rolled up, and we had the MRI done, and it looks like he’s going to have to have surgery and will be out for the rest of the season. That’s a tough blow for us.”
On the season Clark has registered 40 tackles, with 3.5 of those being tackles for loss. He also has three interceptions and nine pass deflections.
