Clemson Opens as Favorite at Home Against Florida State

Clemson is once again a double digit favorite at home.

The Tigers have opened as a 10 point favorite over Florida State for this Satirday’s matchup in Death Valley.

Clemson is coming off a 27-17 loss to Pitt that dropped the Tigers to 4-3 on the season and 3-2 in ACC play, while the Seminoles are 3-4 overall and 2-3 in ACC play after a 59-3 win over UMass.

One of the things that has gotten lost in the disappointing season is this is a game that Dabo Swinney has probably had circled on the calendar. Remember, Mike Norvell and Florida State cancelled on Clemson just hours before kickoff last season due to one Clemson player testing positive for Covid. After the Tigers had spent more than $300K making the trip to Tallahassee and followed all safety protocols that had been put in place by the ACC.

Clemson, to the surprise of most, opened as a 10-point favorite against FSU. What fans are forgetting is actually a very big factor in this line: Petty Dabo
