Clemson has finally offered 2022 offensive lineman Earnest Greene.
Make no mistake, Greene is one of the best offensive linemen in the class, but the timing on this offer seems a little odd, at least on the surface. Greene released a list of his 10 finalists back in March and Clemson was not included. But that’s not surprising seeing as he had no offer.
This is an offer Greene has been waiting on. Despite him having already trimming his list to 10, the door is open. While it is absolutely late in the game, the Tigers do have a shot here, especially when you factor in DJ Uiagalelei and Beaux Collins are both former teammates.
Clemson already has commitments from two offensive linemen in the 2022 class, and many assumed the team was done at the position. However, the Tigers have seen three backups go down with season ending injuries already this season, something that possibly made the coaching staff rethink things.
Greene is ranked No. 61 overall and as the second best interior offensive linemen in the country, according to the 247 Composite.
