Bubba Chandler Will Reportedly Sign With Pirates for Well Above Slot Value

Bubba Chandler is about to get paid.

According to a report, the Pirates will sign Chandler for $3M, well above the slot value for where he was picked, which was $870,700.

Ironically, Pittsburgh has long been known for not being willing to offer up this much money for draft picks in the past.

Per source, Bubba Chandler will get $3 million from Pirates, more than triple the pick value for him ($870,700).

There's also a handshake agreement that Chandler will get a chance to hit, a selling point to convince him to forgo Clemson.
