Clemson is looking to add one linebacker in the 2022 recruiting class.
Jaren Kanak, out of Kansas, appears to be the guy defensive coordinator Brent Venables wants. The 4-star ATH is versatile enough to play inside or in the nickel/SAM spot, which would give Venables a lot of options.
Kanak took an unofficial to Clemson earlier in June and left with an offer in hand.
Since then Kanak has taken multiple visits. He’s been to Michigan, Oklahoma Alabama and Georgia and is just coming off of a trip to Florida.
At one time, it was thought that Kanak might be on pace to make a summertime decision, but now it’s possible the highly-touted prospect will need more time. With another dead period set to start on June 28, Kanak and his family will sit down and try and trim the list of possibilities.
After that, if he is still unsure, this is a recruitment that very likely could stretch into the fall.
