Four Clemson Tigers Named Preseason All-Americans

Four members of the 2021 Clemson Tiger team were named preseason All-Americans by the Walter Camp Foundation this week.

Wide receiver Justyn Ross, who missed all of last season after undergoing surgery to repair a congenital condition in his spine, was named to the first team on offense. Sophomore defensive tackle Bryan Bresee picked first team honors on the defensive side of the ball.

Offensive lineman Jordan McFadden and defensive end Myles Murphy were both named to the second team.

Ross reportedly just went back to the doctor that performed his surgery earlier this month. However, what came of that appointment has yet to be disclosed. The Tigers are fully expecting him to be cleared for the upcoming season, though.

Bresee is coming off a stellar debut season that saw him be named ACC Freshman of the Year. And he did so under a mountain of expectations after coming in as a 5-star recruit and one of the best prospects in the country.

Murphy also had a stellar freshman campaign. The Athletic, ESPN, Rivals and the Football Writers Association of America all named him a freshman All-American and he was also co-ACC Newcomer of the Year. Murphy led the team with 12 TFL and registered four sacks and three forced fumbles.

McFadden started all 12 games at right tackle last season and was named second team All-ACC by PFF. The redshirt junior could possibly move over to the left side in 2021 to replace the departed Jackson Carman.
